Waiheke Venues I Love Working At
Getting married on Waiheke Island?
One of the things I love most about being a celebrant on Waiheke Island, is having the opportunity to work at some of New Zealand's most incredible wedding venues. From vineyard weddings overlooking the Hauraki Gulf, to intimate beachfront ceremonies, each venue has its own unique character and charm.
As both a Waiheke local and celebrant, I'm lucky enough to know some pretty amazing people in the wedding industry. From vendor recommendations to local know-how, I'm always happy to share the tips and tricks that make planning your Waiheke wedding that little bit easier.

One of Waiheke's most iconic wedding venues, Mudbrick is hard to beat for its stunning views, beautiful gardens, and timeless charm. Whether you're exchanging vows overlooking the Hauraki Gulf or within the warmth of the indoor atrium, there's something undeniably magical about a Mudbrick wedding.
I love officiating at Mudbrick because every ceremony feels intimate despite the grand setting. It's a venue that effortlessly combines elegance with a relaxed atmosphere — that’s what makes Waiheke weddings so special.
I have officiated over 20 weddings at Mudbrick so I have a very good relationship with their team and how they work.

Tantalus offers a truly unique Waiheke wedding experience, blending contemporary elegance with the charm of a working vineyard. From the stunning grounds to the beautiful architecture, every corner of the estate feels thoughtfully designed.
As a celebrant, I love how versatile Tantalus is. It can feel sophisticated and luxurious, yet still warm and humble. The private garden setting creates an intimate atmosphere for ceremonies filled with laughter, happy tears, and all the moments that make a wedding unforgettable.

Man O' War offers a wedding experience that feels a little different from anywhere else on the island. With its beachfront setting, sprawling lawns, and relaxed atmosphere, it's the perfect venue for couples wanting a celebration that feels effortlessly beautiful and uniquely Waiheke.
I may be slightly biased when it comes to Man O' War — it's where I got married myself! Having experienced the venue from the other side, I know firsthand just how special it is and can offer some personal tips when planning a wedding out the ‘far end’ of the island.
With a setting that feels equal parts elegant and laid-back, Man O’ War has a way of making everyone slow down, relax, and be fully present. It's the perfect blend of barefoot Waiheke charm and understated elegance.

Perched at one of the highest points on Waiheke Island, Batch offers breathtaking panoramic views that seem to stretch forever. It's a venue that feels distinctly Waiheke — relaxed, beautiful, and surrounded by nature.
What I love most about ceremonies at Batch is the incredible sense of space. Everywhere you look, there's another stunning view, and I can honestly say I've witnessed some of the best sunsets of my life from this venue.
Whether you're planning a small and intimate ceremony or a larger celebration with all your favourite people, Batch has a space to suit. With its relaxed atmosphere and unforgettable backdrop, it's a venue that captures everything people love about getting married on Waiheke

Goldie Estate is one of Waiheke's hidden gems, offering a relaxed vineyard setting. The famous pōhutukawa tree has become a favourite for couples wanting breathtaking views and a backdrop that's unmistakably Waiheke.
After your ceremony, guests can wander down through the vines to enjoy alfresco dining, creating a day that feels relaxed, connected, and wonderfully unhurried.
What I love most about Goldie is its down-to-earth charm. It has all the beauty of a Waiheke vineyard wedding without ever feeling overly formal — just good food, great wine, stunning views, and your favourite people gathered together to celebrate.

Some of the most memorable weddings I've officiated haven't taken place at traditional venues at all!
There’s something special about choosing a private Waiheke property for your special day — your timeline, your people, your vision. There's a relaxed, intimate, and personal feel to them that you just can't replicate.
As a local and having officiated ceremonies at a range of private properties across the island, I understand the unique opportunities (and logistics!) that come with these celebrations — I'm always happy to share tips and advice to help make the planning process as smooth and stress-free as possible.
