Firstly, congratulations! If you're here, I'm guessing you've found your person and are now planning a wedding (which is equal parts exciting and overwhelming!)
Choosing a celebrant is a bit of a strange process, isn't it? You're essentially looking for someone you've never met to stand up in front of all your favourite people and tell your story. No pressure.
As your celebrant, my role goes far beyond standing at the front and making things official. I'm here to guide you through the process, get to know your story, calm any nerves, and create a ceremony that feels genuinely reflective of who you are as a couple. Because at the end of the day, I believe the best ceremonies aren't the ones that follow a formula. They're the ones that leave guests saying, "that was so them." The ones filled with laughter, happy tears, and meaningful moments.
A Little About Me
By day, I'm a teacher, which means connecting with people, telling stories, and speaking in front of a crowd comes naturally to me. It also means I'm organised, calm under pressure, and pretty good at helping people feel comfortable when they're stepping outside their comfort zone. Becoming a celebrant felt like a natural extension of that.
I'm lucky enough to call Waiheke Island home, and I love being part of the incredible wedding community here. Whether you're planning a beachfront celebration, a vineyard wedding, or an intimate gathering with your closest loved ones, there's something incredibly special about getting married on this island.
What It’s Like To Work With Me
My goal is simple: I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and able to be completely yourselves. I take the time to get to know you both so that your ceremony actually reflects who you are and the journey that brought you here.
I’ll guide you through all the legal bits, help if you’re stuck on your vows, answer the random questions that pop up along the way, and make sure you know exactly what’s happening on the day. And when the wedding day arrives? I’ll be there to keep things running smoothly, calm any nerves, and make sure you can focus on the important part — marrying your favourite person!
Being a Waiheke local also means I can share trusted vendor recommendations, local knowledge, and plenty of practical tips to help make planning your Waiheke wedding that little bit easier.
